That is low back pain due to L4 and L5 disc bulging (Observed from MRI report). I have consulted neurology doctor and advised him go to surgery. We are worried for surgery and consulted ortho doctor (family doctor) and as per his advice no need surgery and advised the following tablet with physical exercise on daily.

2. Tab. Do-75 - 1/day (3 month)
3. Clopam 0.5 - 1/day (3 month)
4. Aswinex forte - 1/day ( 1 month after completion of Neurotrat LM)

with this, my back pain becomes is and continue my regular work, but i have pain below the knee area and foot when i walk more than 50 meter or standing more than 10 mins. I have also consulted Homeopathy doctor and as per his advice i have taken medicine for a period of last three week and he said no problem to take medicine with present english medicine and still mild pain continuing. After taking the tablet (Plus rest)for a period of 2 months my weight also increased to 70 Kgs from 65 Kgs.
Request your best opinion for the below my quarries.

4. Any side effect with homeopathy medicine with the present one.
5. Your views about the progress of treatment and suggestions.

Brief Answer:
Vertebral traction may help.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone elaborately through your query and understand your concerns. I have also checked the attached MRI report. It indicates loss of lumbar lordosis as well as mild disc bulge. Both of these are causing compression on the spinal cord and hence the pain. The medicines seem proper and you should continue taking them. The exercises are very crucial and are important even more than the medicines. However, ultrasonotherapy (available with physical therapists) and vertebral traction should provide relief. I am not a homeopathic physician and hence cannot comment on the possible side effects but I see neither any harm, nor any benefit, in using them.

I would insist you to discuss about the options of vertebral traction with your orthopedician. I hope that would suffice and you would not need neurosurgical interventions.

Thank you very much doctor for the detailed answers,
Once again i would like to clarify some of the points,
1. I am continuing the tablet for 3 months (Inclusive of vitamin tablet ), this can increase my weight further?
2. Any negative effect for taking Clopam 0.5 for three months? or it is necessary
3. Since i have pain in my leg below the knee when i walk more than 50 meters and standing more than 10 minutes. What needs to be done further. - This will improve with time or needs to do further test like blood flow to make perfect with some treatment on leg. I am sure that this may be compress the nerve... not sure. Request your advice.
4. Any problem will come during winter ?
5. Are you recommend surgery?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

For weight gain to occur, the amount of energy taken in as food has to be greater than the total energy consumption. Vitamin tablets hardly have any energy value and hence do not contribute to your gaining weight.
Take Clopam only if necessary (not regularly). It is a medicine that develops tolerance. So, the dose that is effective now, would not be effective anymore in the future and higher doses would be necessary.
As I mentioned, physical therapy, exercises and vertebral tractions are the things needed for your pain relief.
The problem may worsen in the winter unless appropriate steps are taken.
The recommendation for surgery will only come after traction has been tried and has been found not to be effective.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
1. No specific precautions other than to keep yourself warm and comfortable.
2. No specific suggestions related to travelling but whenever you travel, try to keep your back straight and in full support of the backrest.
3. Juicy fruits are rich source of potassium and can help in reducing the leg pain. Use hot compress. If even that does not help, try taking paracetamol 1g per dose and see if it helps.
