Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain
Question: Hello Doctor,
Hope you are doing well.
Here we need some suggestion on mattress. Me(Age 32) and my wife(Age 32) are working in IT industry from last 10 years.
We don't have any major back pain issue so far(Except when we carry our kid for long time).
We are planning to purchase new mattress. Which one is better for spinal code. Cotton one, sponge one, spring one or any other.
Please suggest considering our profession.

In my opinion orthopedic mattress is best for back but has some disadvantages like high cost, takes the contour of back so may feel hot.
Otherwise when you go for shopping, try the semi-hard mattresses that are not too hard or soft. The mattress should adjust little bit to the contour of the back. Spring mattress is better than others listed by you. You should always lie down on the mattress for sometime before buying. The mattress should not hunch or be too hard.
