Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain
I'm a 50 yr old woman that out works (I'm a workaholic) circles around my younger counter parts, warehouse put away, thus 4x6 50lb boxes being pulled out of a 4' deep bin. Thus my Osteo Arthitis and Sciatica are exstreamly out of control. The meta pack I just took has not touched the problem this time and I suspect that the bulging discs I have are also agrivated, but I can't get them to do an MRI to prove the issue.
Part of the problem too is I'm not very co-operative. I don't want a bandaid, I want it fixed. I broke my wrist, separated my collarbone and crushed the side of my skull being thrown through a cattle gate off of a horse, and worked my horses the next day. I can put off a lot of pain, so I don't think the doctors are taking me seriously when I tell them I hurt.
Imaging studies are indispensable in your case.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
It is necessary to undergo imaging studies too, besides a clinical examination, in order to achieve a correct diagnosis and to assess the possible treatment ways.
Imaging studies needed for this purpose include spinal column x-rays and MRI as well.
Since you had cervical spine issues and surgery previously, all the column should be included in the examination.
Osteoarthritis predisposes to degerative spine disease, but other conditions such herniated discs disease, spinal cord stenosis, spondylolysthesis also are possible diagnoses.
After the correct diagnosis is achieved, if pain medications, physical therapy and spinal epidural injections fail to improve your symptoms, surgery ( either decompression and fusion ) may be necessary.
Discuss with your Doctor about getting those tests done.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Greetings.
