Suggest Treatment For Severe Chest Pain
After a month the medicines were changed to metxl 12.5 in morning,CERUVIN AF 75+150MG TABLET in after noon, storvas 40 mg in night. The doctor has prescribed storvas 20 mg ez since he was feeling tired and was told it was because of high power of cholesterol tablet but i was continuing storvas 40 mg only.CERUVIN AF 75+150MG TABLET was started only from past 4 days and he was feeling more stomach pain from these 4 days only.Ultrasound scan was done only 2 months back and there were no issues found in ultrasound scan.
When he followed the previous tablets of deplatt and ecosrpin there was no major stomach pain but now when he started CERUVIN AF 75+150MG he was feeling more stomach pain.Is it due to the change in tabs.Is there any thing to worry. Is there any stomach infection or is it due to the cardiac medicines and can any antibiotics/antacids(syrup) be given to him.

Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic
Normal ultrasound practically excludes liver, gall bladder, pancreas, kidney as the cause of pain… and is reassuring
Meftalspas is not useful for such pain...that itself may cause some burning or pain… It needs to be stopped. Change to drugs from PPI (Proton Pump Inhibitor) class – like Omeperazole
And Antispasmodic like Buscopan which could help
The pain is most probably from aspirin… he is taking it. Before and now, he is taking the same dose – individually or as combination. There is no change.
An Upper GI Endoscopy (Gastroscopy) is the ideal way – to see the oesophagus (food pipe), stomach etc to rule out ulcer… Consult a Gastroenterologist. In the meantime, reduce aspirin to 75 mg – after food / give Omeperazole and Buscopan, before food
Good luck
God bless you
Endoscopy can be done
