Suggest Treatment For Severe Chlamydial Urethritis

Question: A few years ago I got chlamydia. No pain or discomfort. But, I knew something was wrong when I woke up in the morning and found what looked to be anal leakage stains in my underwear. Upon inspection, I realized the stains were in the front of my underwear, not the back. The stains were like a disgusting shade of yellowish/brown. I immediately went to the doctor and after testing they found I had chlamydia.

Question: I know chlamydia is common. If I were to get chlamydia again, will my body have the same reaction? Will I eventually wake up with stains in my underwear again? Also, do you know how long it takes for your penis to discharge these stains after exposure?

Thanks!

Brief Answer:
Chlamydial urethritis and its presentation

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have understood your concern.

Chlamydia causes anterior urethritis in males. The infection is acquired through unprotected sexual contact with an infected partner i.e it is an STD.
Chlamydia urethritis presents with burning micturation and urethral discharge in males and this may stain the underwear, however, since the discharge is clear/ transparent in chlamydial urethritis therefore the stains are more likely to be clear rather than yellowish or brownish.
Incubation period of chlamydia is variable and the symptoms may present with a few days of infection Or may present after a few weeks of infection.

Sometimes I will pre-ejaculate in my underwear. I could be texting dirty with a girl at work, or whatever. How can you tell the difference between chlamydia discharge and pre-ejaculation discharge?

Brief Answer:
Urethritis is usually associated with burning sensation on passing urine

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Though, urethral secretions associated with sexual arousal can be confused with chlamydial urethritis, however, then there would be no associated symptoms like burning micturation which is a prominent symptom of urethritis.
Moreover, secretions/ stains due to urethritis can occur irrespectve of sexual arousal.
