Suggest Treatment For Severe Constipation, Gas, Stomach Pain And Gurgling In The Stomach

Question: I recently tried the
"1 Minute Cure"
using diluted food grade Hydrogen peroxide. I stoped cold turkey after getting getting up to 25 drops 3 times a day for about a week.
My digestion is not working properly. My symptoms are a lot of Gass passing, gurgling in the stomach, thick stools not coming out easy, somewhat stoped up, stomach pain.
I have have seen a GD who prescribed a bland, Brat diet, with an ant acid Protonix, MiraLax, & Meta Mucil, which is not seeming to work.
Can you please help me.

I've gone through your details.
I am a Gastroenterologist and would be addressing your concerns ,as you digest food, digestive gases are formed as a result of fermentation and digestion of food which can also collect. The pathophysiology of gas and flatulence is a bit complicated.
Thousands of good bacteria and fungi are there in our intestinrs.Even minor disturbances in gut microflora can lead to significant changes in gut function, including gas production nloating belching etc.
There are various mechanism that can be related to increased flatulence

If this microbiota is disturbed food is improperly fermented causing production of large amount of gases in gut leading to severe flatulence. Hence most common cause in most of the cases is disturbed microbiota. In old patient mobility of intestines is severely compromised leading to accumulation of large amount of gases in intestines.As peristaltic moments are week gas accumulates in intestines.Severe constipation or incomplete evacuation can also hinder the passage of gases(As in your case).


-Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth can be a reason of severe flatulence .
Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) refers to a condition in which abnormally large numbers of bacteria are present in the small intestine, and the types of bacteria in the small intestine resemble more the bacteria of the colon than the small intestines causing improper and disturbed food digestion.


Tests suggested-
Small bowel imaging and a gastric-emptying scan.

Initially go for Digital evacuation or a fleet enema.It involves the use of fingers to aid in the removal of stool from the rectum.Stool is emptied by gently inserting a finger into the rectum and removing it.
After that continue taking laxative and antacid with life style modification.

Linseed: is extremely useful in difficult cases of constipation. One teaspoon of linseed with warm water should be taken at night for bulk and lubrication.
-Proper chewing: The diet alone is not enough. Food should be properly chewed-each morsel for at least 20 times.
-Taking a short walk is a good way to get some light exercise. Walking time should be gradually increased until it reaches 20 minutes.
-Should drink at least eight glasses of clean water daily. Water helps push the food through the intestines and also helps lubricate intestinal tissues. When the body is dehydrated, the intestines absorb the fluids from the food waste, which in turn leads to hardened stools
- Avoiding alcohol and caffeine is also important as these substances contribute to dehydration.
-Fruits and vegetables, which contain high amounts of fiber, aid in alleviating symptoms of constipation,Whole-grain bread, XXXXXXX oatmeal, beans and lentils can also relieve the problem so use it Instead of highly processed rice, eat brown rice, millet or bulgur.
-Eat 2 cups of fruit 3 cups of vegetables and about 35 grams of fiber per day
fruits: Generally all fruits, except banana and XXXXXXX fruit, are beneficial in the treatment of constipation.
Pears are beneficial in the treatment of constipation.
Guava fruit when eaten with seeds, gives roughage to the diet and helps in the normal evacuation of the bowels.
Grapes: have also proved highly beneficial in overcoming constipation. The grapes have the cellulose; natural sugar and organic acid make them a natural laxative fruit. Not only they clean the bowel, but also tones up the stomach and intestines to relieve the chronic constipation
All these things will increase the bulk of your stool,Will soften it and will clear your ileum of the compacted faecal material.
-While sitting on the toilet, support the feet on a small stool in order to achieve a normal position that aids in bowel movement.
Don't stop laxative,initially start following all these advices then gradually taper the doses of laxatives.
