Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea And Blood In Stool

Question: Hi. I am 30year old male. Exactly one year back, i had blood in vomit. Had endoscopy and i was told i have mild antral and corporal gastritis. Ultrasound on the same day showed everything normal. I had continuous loose stools following solid stool for a month. Sometimes small streaks of blood in stool. Also had weight loss. My worry increased further. So in december 2015 i had colonoscopy. It was a normal completely. Then my weight loss continued and had lost 9kgs in 6 months. So had CT scan (in XXXXXXX 2016, 11 months back) of abdomen, tsh and cea blood tests. All were normal. Doctor told its all due to my fear. So i reduced my worry. Recently past four months i am having lot of gas. Passing gas atleast 15 to 20 times..more durig evening time. If i make a travel next day i get solid motion followed by a loose motion with some blood and mucous..my fear is back again. Could it be cancer? Can it develop in these 10 months because i am not takinh any medicines?Pls let me know.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read the history And understood your concerns.
The incidence of blood in vomit, blood in stool does not look to be correlated in presence of normal reports as you have mentioned.
Your Doctor/s had told about feat- that is stress and anxiety - this is a recurrent problem.
Noted about the gas trouble as you have explained.
The commonest reasons are:
Aerophagia, usually due to stress and anxiety.
Overgrowth of gas producing bacteria.
Aerated drinks.
Allergy to some foods like nuts.

I would advise you the following:
Get the stool, urine and blood tested.
Identify the cause and either avoid the factors that instigate or enhance the problems.
Sometimes a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole for 5 days may help a lot if there is a accompanying component.

Cancer is not known to occur in 10 months and the relevant investigations can always be repeated to confirm or rules out any disease.
