Suggest Treatment For Severe Diarrhea And Rectal Incontinence

fiber supplements, empty regularly and anti diarrhea drugs may help
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Fecal incontinence is the unintentional loss of stool either solid or liquid.
It can be related to any condition that affects the anal sphincter (the area at the anus that normally closes to prevent the loss of stool when not planned).
Possible causes are: (1) diabetes
(2) spinal cord trauma
(3)anal surgery
(4)inflammatory bowel disease such as crohns disease, ulcerative colitis
(5)stroke
(6)degenerative disorders of the spinal cord
(7)child birth can cause damage to the nerves in the area so women who have children, no matter how long ago, may have injury due to this
(8)anal cancer
Treatment
(1) if the stools are too hard and difficult to manage then increase fluid intake to at least 1.5 L a day (unless there is a reason you cannot use this much fluid)
(2)use increased fiber and also consider a fiber supplement because firm stool is easier to control as compared to soft stools
Fiber supplements include benefiber, cetrucil, metamucil, fiberall
(3)try to empty the bowel after each meal , taking as much time as needed.
This would reduce accidents in between
By bed commodes may be needed to avoid rush to bathroom
(4)Medication normally used for diarrhea such as loperamide (imodium) may also help to keep in stool
This should be over the counter
Codeine can be used if you are intolerant to loperamide
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
