Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness While On Medications

Question: I laid down on my bed on my side and all of a sudden I felt very dizzy. I tried to get up and I still felt dizzy. It lasted for about 3 minutes then I got up and felt okay. What could have caused the dizziness? I take a number of medications such as remeron, klonopin, norvasc, ziac, lipitor. Please advise.

I am so sorry to hear about this dizziness that you suffered. This is caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure as you transitioned from the sitting to the upright position. Next time, try to rise up gently. Also, check you hypertension medications and you blood pressure to make sure the numbers are not running too low than they should be. Above all, always drink enough and change position from seated to upright gently and carefully.
