Posted on Wed, 1 Mar 2017
Question: I'm having dizzy and equilibrium episodes after sleeping. I get up frequently at night to urinate because of prostrate cancer. Back in the early nineties I had something similar and found it to be inner ear fluid. This time it seems different. I'm 79 yrs old, take female hormones for prostrate cancer, have mild high blood pressure and cholesterol . I take a regiment of calcium, vitamin D, blood pressure meds, cholesterol meds and thyroid meds. After be vertical for a period of time, my equilibrium seems better, but is still a problem. I do have a pacemaker that is functioning properly. Slight head ache or tightness in lower head area is associated with this condition.

Brief Answer:
Vertigo

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic and thanks for putting up the query

You seem to be having positional vertigo and this is common in your age. My advise to you is whenever you get up from lying down position, keep sitting for a while and than get up and stand.
Try this for few days you 'll definitely be benefited or you 'll be required to take anti vertigo drugs.

Any further questions are always welcome.
Take care
Thanks and regards
