Question: I have cough and severe and I fainted
My cough is more than a month very dry and whizzing like coughing
I have a severe dry cough and when I cough and when I cough it's continously till I fainted,I only took night quill pills and some cough drops and today I had mucinex pills but I still cough continously dry and whizzing cough,never been to hospital and never see doctor yet,plus answer,thank you

Most often such cough is due to viral cause. However, the damage done to airways and lungs due to smoking aggravates the problem. I need to know if are a smoker. If so, you should stop at the earliest. You need to visit a doctor and get your chest examined. Your doctor might get a chest X Ray done and further treatment might depend on the same. You might need to be treated with nebulization or inhalers. Apart from Mucinex, you need to take steam inhalation to your child. It helps in reducing the congestion. Water vapor will reach deep inside and would help in diluting the cough and thus would provide relief from dry cough.
