Suggest Treatment For Severe Dry Cough

Additional info required...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.
Your case:
- dry cough for 3 weeks
- tried: benadryl, claritin, no help
hot liquids, Chloroseptic spray, cough drops, they are all helping
From what you are describing, the dry cough could be due to;
- allergy, can you please tell if the cough is persistent? or if is it something triggering (like smelling fumes? eating ? drinking?)
- acid reflux especially if you're also having burning sensation after eating or drinking?
- strep throat that should be confirmed by culture of throat swab
Apart hot liquids, Chloroseptic spray and cough drops, I suggest to:
- take antacids after meal
- avoid spicy, chilly, oily, fried foods
- have dinner at least 4 hours before going to bed
Looking forward to have the requested information in.
