Hi, thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. You are on Wellbutrin 300 and Seroquel 100 in night. Seroquel helps in good sleep and thus will control your mood in day time too. Wellbutrin is a good antidepressant but some times even in optimum doses some depressive symptoms persist.
The severe fatigue, tiredness, lethargy etc could be occurring due to persisting depression. Please talk to your psychiatrist again and ask for re-evaluation. Medicines like Modafinil can be used in morning hours and will definitely help you to come out of severe fatigue and tiredness you are having. The medicine is also safe to use.
One more advise I'd like to give you is to go for some tests. Get your thyroid function test, Vitamin B12 and complete hemogram done. Low vitamin B12 is one of main reasons for fatigue in depression patients. Hypothyroidism also results in chronic fatigue. Visit your psychiatrist to rule out these conditions.
Please don't hesitate to ask again for more doubts.
Thanks. Take care.
My panel for thyroid etc has been checked and I am all Okay.
I am a depressant patient with severe fatigue.
there must be an antidepressant that can give me the boost of energy so I can get out of bed.
for example possibly increase the Wellbutrin dosage and add possibly Effexcor to it. Or add Abilify or add , Emitryptilin???
I need help.
Please give your best option if I was your patient with symptoms of insomnia which is under control with Serequel and for the severe lethargy, fatigue feeling what would you suggest? I mean as far as antidepressants that will help depressed patients with a boost of energy???
In that case Amisulpride can be used.

Hello again,
Yes sure..
If you have used Modafinil with no improvement then we have other options too. Your thyroid functions were normal so no need to worry.
In my opinion increasing the dose of Wellbutrin will not cause much improvement. Wellbutrin in my opinion is a good add on drug for depression but in mono therapy the response is not that good.
We can think of adding low dose antipsychotics to prescription. Low dose Amisulpride can be used. The drug in low doses have dopaminergic action and thus will reduce the depressive symptoms and negative symptoms like lethargy, tiredness etc. You can consult your doctor for this drug too. This drug will boost your motivation level too.
Thanks. Take care. Still have doubts please ask again.
