Question: I have a handicapped child with approx 95% dependency facing a major surgery, having financial problems. Tons of responsibility. I cannot find any happiness. I hate going grocery shopping, I do not go to dinner with friends, do not enjoy meeting with family. Physical and mental loss of energy.
I have also been forgetting recent days. Also, have just wanted to eat junk so I do not have to cook because I'm to exhausted. Lost all desire to do anything. But it feels internal. I can't have coffee to help, I drink lots of water. I'm on antidepressants as well as thyroid meds. I physically cannot get up and do things because i feel exhausted on the inside

Brief Answer:
antidepressant dose can be increased

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

From the available description it appears to me the current prescribed antidepressant not helping to extent which supposed. The other possibility is that the dose of antidepressant is low in compare to your requirement.

I am stating this because most of your symptoms can be explained with depression such as poor motivation, low energy, loss of interest in pleasurable activities, decreased physical activity, lack of happiness and loss of memory. ac

In my opinion changing or increasing dose of medication may help.
I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
