Brief Answer:
Diagnosis of gout should be confirmed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
Pregnazon is not the treatment of choice , if you have gout ,so initial diagnosis is not confirmed.
I suggest that you get Blood test for uric acid in your blood. If it is very high then we have start medicine to control the levels. If it is normal ,the I would like to go for X Rays.
In the meantime continue with pain killers , do a hot fomentation and apply local analgesic cream.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
