Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache, Nausea And Diarrhea

Slowing of gastrointestinal movements seems to cause the problem
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone very carefully through your query.
Your problem seems to be slowing of the gastrointestinal movement. Our gastrointestinal tract has a forward propulsive movement (peristalsis) that moves the food material forward as it is digested, absorbed and finally expelled as feces. If somehow this movement gets hampered, food along with the digestive juices would stagnate, stomach acid will reflux into the food pipe and on the other hand the bowel habits would not be proper. The reversal of this movement is leading to the nausea and other stated problems.
In order to relieve yourself, you need to do the following:
* Avoid spicy food. Take small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps between meals.
* Avoid alcohol intake (if it a part of your habit).
* Take Prilosec (omeprazole) once daily before breakfast.
* Take plenty of green leafy vegetables as well as other sources of dietary fibers. Take fiber supplements like isabgol/psyllium husk or senna. I would insist you to increase your dietary fibre intake.
* Regular morning walk and exercise to keep the bowel movements proper.
* If I had a patient like you I would perhaps have suggested Prodep 20 mg tablet once daily for at least 2 months (it may take time for the action to set in).
* Take curd or yogurt on daily basis. It contains beneficial bacteria and should help.
Hope that helps.
Let me know if I could help further.

Just to note: I consume food that is mainly fruit and veggies. In great physical health. I do not take any meds , and Prilosec has side effects and problems associated in using it.
all thou in reading on what the drug is for , I have found a probable direction.
I do not have any acid reflux, nor really ever had. This problem has reoccurred off and on for years. I always get nauseous if I don't eat in am.
I walk run five kilometers daily. Exercise daily. Drink a lot of water, more in summer.
How ever I have been out of town on a road trip and have not kept up with my routine, is best I can say. This problem has been on going for 1/3 rd of my life. Since giardia was contracted. Then a few years ago a bout with some crypto bug . Possibly from oyster consumption.
Not sure what else to add, hopefully you can better understand how and why and what non evasive test should get performed. Thank you for your time. XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to respond faster.
You can get a stool H pylori test done. It looks for foreign proteins (antigens) associated with H. pylori infection in your stool. As with the breath test, prilosec can affect the results of this test, so you would need to stop taking them for two weeks before the test.
It is good to hear that you exercise regularly and drink lot of water. It would help if you could meditate. It helps in reducing stress and thereby reduces stomach acid secretion.
Let me know if I could help further.
