Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache

When I get overheated, even though I am drinking lots of water, my temples start pounding and the headache seems to be centered between my eyes. It also causes acid reflux. Heartburn was extreme last night, even though I take 20 mg omaprazole each morning. This morning, after a bad episode last night, I woke up to a plugged up ear and half my head feels 'under water' thank you, XXXX
Cause of headache and treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. You are having headache most probably due to following reasons
: Dehydration and heat - Despite good water intake, sever heat can cause dehydration along with loss of minerals. Try to drink fruit juices, yoghurt drink, lemon-salt water.
: Eye strain - During travelling, we have to adjust our eyes a lot and it leads to eye muscle spasm. This is the most important cause of headache.
: Stress and gastritis - Both factors are very well known cause of headache.
Now to treat it, you have to follow few tips
: Try to reduce your travelling as much as possible. You can take few days rest if it is possible for you.
: Use sunglasses to protect your eyes. If you are using numbered glass, then use them during travelling.
: During travelling, try to take a nap or keep your eyes closed for some time. It will reduce strain.
: You can take combination of Aceclofenac+Paracetamol+Rabeprazole to treat headache and gastritis both, only after proper prescription.
: Eat simple, non fried, less spicy food. Avoid alcohol/coffee/tea/smoking. All these can cause severe gastritis.
: Do Yoga/meditation daily at whatever place you are. It will control your gastritis and make you calm. Stress reduction will lead to relief in headache.
: Try for good 8-9 hours sleep. Avoid late night mobile/TV/laptop work.
This much will be sufficient for you if you will follow it properly. If still no relief, do let me know.
Best wishes.
Thanks, take care.
