Suggest Treatment For Severe Headaches

Question: For several days, I have had headaches which is extremely unusual for me. They are not severe, but persist without much change during the day regardless of what I am doing. I do have sleep apnea but always use a CPAP. I sense my sleep has been slightly, but not greatly, less restful in the last few days.

Hello again,
The headache you are experiencing is suggestive of tension/stress headache.
Since you are on CPAP, problems with sleep can clause the headache. Stress associated with lack of good sleep can trigger these headache.
Moreover, lack of adequate sleep can increase your blood pressure resulting in a headache.
I would recommend that you undergo a sleep study to assess if the CPAP settings is adequate. Sometimes increasing the pressure settings can rectify the problem.
Also, get your blood pressure levels checked to see if there is any associated hypertension.
If the sleep study comes back normal further evaluation like vision testing, dental examination, sinus examination are indicated.
Meanwhile, you can take Tylenol or advil for pain.Hot shower and short nap can help relieve tension headache.
