Brief Answer:
Please consult orthopedist.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

At your age such pain can be caused by a spine disc issues which can compress the nerve and cause pain in the hip. Back pain is usually present as well.
Even if you do not remember any injury recently, hip fracture should be considered. Due to osteoporosis, some patients can have such fracture without obvious injury.
For sure you should consult orthopedist. Hip and spine x-ray should be done at first. Spine MRI should be also considered.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
