Brief Answer:
hard to say what is from smoking

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
It is really hard to say what is from the smoking since you quit 6 months ago.
Some people get a dry cough from the CPAP if the air is not moisturized. You can get an air moisturizer for the CPAP machine.
The feeling exhausted with a cough is suspicious for a pneumonia.
I think you need to see a doctor and get a chest xray.
The right eat pressure and headaches could be coming from an ear infection or blockage.
It sounds like you really need to see a doctor very soon. You may need to go to an urgent care this weekend if the exhaustion is severe. If you have something like pneumonia you really need to be on antibiotics.
Please le me know if you have further questions.

thank you. i had a chest xray a few months ago and did visit the doctor. I was told my lungs were normal and no abnormalities were found on the xray. the cough has been ongoing for months. the tiredness goes away once I rest for a few minutes. I will schedule an appointment again.

Brief Answer:
good idea

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for the follow up.
If the xray was done a few months ago it may need to be repeated if you were not having the fatigue at that time.
Also pulmonary function testing may be helpful.
Other things that can cause exhaustion are anemia, problems with your heart or electrolytes.
Another visit to your doctor very soon is a good idea.
