Question: I am experiencing severe cramps in my left pinkie and ring finger. I am also unusually tired. I take a statin. Can that cause the pain in the muscles?

Statin Induced Myopathy

Good Day,
Statins can absolutely cause what is known as Myopathy, it is a known side effect. To stop these symptoms requires discontinuation of the medication. I would recommend you speak with physician who prescribed for you these medications, and ask for an alternative that does not have myopathy as a side effect, as you are experiencing possible muscle irritation and or rhabdomyolysis.
