Suggest Treatment For Severe Muscle Pain
Question: My wife has leg muscle pain when her leg is squeezed in the calf or upper leg. What causes this? She has trouble standing without falling over backward.

Pain on squeezing calf or upper leg muscles can be the sign of thrombus/clot formation in the veins of limb. This is a serious condition and needs to be addressed immediately.
A venous doppler ultrasonography study of the limbs is required urgently.
If the thrombosis is detected, blood thinner medications needs to be started immediately.
This is a complication of old age, prolonged sitting, and many a times sign of internal malignancy also.
Please get her clinically examined and a doppler study too.
