Brief Answer:
Can be muscle pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The inflammation feeling can be due to a muscle pain or cramps. Sometimes, it can be due to dehydration, muscle fatigue or electrolyte abnormalities. It is better to drink sufficient fluid and also see that your intake of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium ) is sufficient. You can drink Oralyte for this. Rest and hot compress will also help.
I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Mostly due to a genetic predisposition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Costocondritis is an Inflammation of costochondral joints and is mostly due to a genetic predisposition. There are some autoimmune disorders also which need to be ruled out for their association like- fibromyalgia, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis reactive arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease (such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease).
I hope you are not having any problems related to any other joint pains and bowel movements.
Pain killers, antiinflammatory drugs- steroids and lidocaine patch are the main treatments. You need discuss all options available with your orthopedician for proper treatment.
Meanwhile doing a hot compresses will be useful pain relieving measure. You may apply a local analgesic gel on that area.

Hope my answer is helpful.

Brief Answer:
Cardiac causes ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
if all the cardiac tests are normal then a heart attack or stroke is ruled out. Just relax and take a mild pain killer to help with your symptoms.
