Suggest Treatment For Severe Neck And Upper Back Pain Along With Breast Tenderness

Question: My wife is a 45 yo female in previously good health. She has suffered from severe neck and upper back pain over the past 4 weeks. She has been treated by a chiropractor with no relief. Last night she noted another symptom. She has had some glandular tenderness, specifically breast tissue tenderness. We thought that it might possibly be Lyme Disease. So she saw her doctor today. He asked her other questions that were very pointed. Have you noticed decreased eyesight recently. Yes, she has. Dizziness/lightheaded XXXXXXX No, not really. But he ordered an expansive list of blood work and my wife felt as though he had an idea what was going on but didn't say. What could be on the differential with these symptoms?

Brief Answer:
Cervical spondylosis, demyelinating disease possib

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
It is likely that your wife has cervical spondylosis with pinching of nerves.
If the blood vessels supplying the base of the brain is pinched, blood flow can be comprised and this may produce dizziness and /unsteady gait.
At the age of the45, she is likely to have decrease in ability to read small prints due to presbyopia.
A demyelinating disease also may be considered.
It would be good to get her vitamin D level also, as its decrease can contribute to her symptoms.
As there is no fever, headache or weakness, serious illnesses are less likely.
Do get back to me with further queries.
I would be interested in knowing her blood results when available.
Best wishes,
