Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome back again on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that it is too early to conclude about the possible benefits from statin interruption to your muscle pain.

But, as you have no improvement, I would recommend performing some blood lab tests to exclude other possible causes:

- AST & ALT,
- LDH,
- CPK,
- BUN & creatinine,
- blood electrolytes level
- PCR, ESR for inflammation.

An electromyography may also be needed to exclude statin induced myopathy.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Regarding Diclofenac I would recommend its use for a long time, because its potential adverse effects.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Let me know about everything!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
