Brief Answer:
Treatment depends on MRI finding as well as symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your father's symptoms and MRI report.
If there is compression of spinal cord or nerves, then, surgery would be needed. Also, if there is bladder or bowel involvement, as in your father's case, surgery may be needed.
However, in initial stages, bed rest and pain killers are used. Common medications that can help are pregabalin and gabapentin capsules.

Brief Answer:
Please get him checked by a Neuro doctor also.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
I would suggest you to get your dad examined by a Neuro doctor also, to find out whether he has any neurological deficits due to vertebra collapse and fracture.
After that medication change can be done.
Good to know that surgery is not needed.
Also, he should use lumbar corset.
