Question: My boyfriend had surgery several years ago for priaprism and now immediately after he has an orgasm, he has pain in his penis.Or it begins to hurt during orgasm. What causes this and what can we do about it? YYYY@YYYY

Welcome to HCM: please note that it is very hardtop pinpoint exactly what has happened. However what comes to mind is he may have had scarring which now is giving him trouble after overextension secondary to an erection. There are no obvious things that need to BE excluded are an infection or prostatitis. This is a simple test that can be performed after getting a urinary sample in the doctor's office. The urinary sample could also tell us whether he is actually having bleeding. Since this is a Sudden onset of at least make sure that he sees a doctor for an initial evaluation.
