Does Prostatitis Cause Low Grade Pain In The Penis?

My physician has been treating me for prostatitis; I have been taking Cipro for about a month and am now on my last pill. The only symptom Im still having is a fairly consistent low-grade pain on the tip of my penis. No discharge, no pain when urinating, just this low grade pain on the tip. Does that sound like prostatitis, or should I be worried it's something else, like an STD?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, pain in the penis is due to prostatitis. Don't worry it will subside once your prostatitis healed completely. Continue the medicine for prostatitis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pramod Kokare, General & Family Physician
