Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Arm After Injury
Question: Hi my gf was involved in a recent assault where she received several stab wounds and suffered a stroke. one stab wound was in her hand where a large lump grew and could never be diagnosed. the lump went away and weve been assured that it wasn't a clot (????) but now she has severe arm and hand pain. the one hand is about 20 degrees colder than the other and she has not been exposed to temp change.
Brief Answer:
It could be an arterial injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Welcome to Health care magic and Thanks for the question.
It is possible that one of the arteries of the wrist or hand may have got damaged.
Please get a Color Doppler done of the forearm and hand arteries.
This would be able to tell whether there is any arterial damage. Then only could I advice whether there is any damage and how to get it treated.
By the symptoms it seems that it could be treated. There is no need to worry.
Send me the report and I could advice you further.
Take care and do let me know.
