Done Biopsy On Ankle. Now Ankle, Foot, And Leg Is Cold To Touch. Is This Normal?
Hi,my daughter (8yrs) had a biopsy done on her Ankle 5 days ago, She hasnt walked on it because it has been sore and has been using crutches.I have just noticed this evening that her operated ankle, foot and leg to about the knee is cold to touch. (her other foot is normal temperature) is this normal at all or should i be taking her to the hospital?
Hi.Because of Surgery, there may be chances of infection and inflammation. But,the skin will be warm rather than cold. You can wait for couple of days.Sometimes due to arterial injury, the affacted area will be cold. Please take her to hospital if the symptoms persist.
