Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Feet

default
Posted on Tue, 24 Jan 2017
Question: I have lichen plants, adrenal insufficiency, and neurological problems. I have been experiencing severe pain running through both of my feet so much so that I have to stop what I'm doing and just get through it. It happens about five or six times a day and it also makes it difficult to be able to walk. Also my blood pressure was up last night and just felt really weak.

Brief Answer:
Hypertension

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I have seen the image attached.

I notice lots of pedal edema. This could be secondary to increased blood pressure. Are you on blood pressure lowering medications, if not you must be placed on one after ascertaining the same.

You may have to be put on diuretics, which remove the water clogged in the feet. This will provide you relief and ease at walking.

Also, do get electrolyte levels estimated as it could sometimes be the cause of swelling in the feet, weakness and increased Bp. This electrolyte imbalance could be secondary to adrenal insufficiency.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
