default
Posted on Mon, 11 Jul 2016
Question: Today I woke up upon two occasions where because I'm my legs had the inhalbility to move once around 7am where I took some Advil. Second time around 10. Each time I had to drag myself across the floor because my legs were in excruciating pain. And could not move them from a bent position as if they were paralyzed. The same thing not as severe with my right arm. I have now been able to walk slightly but the more I try the pain comes back. Should I go to the ER or try hot compresses?

Brief Answer:
Could be Muscle Pull, TIA, Stroke : Please go to ER Immediately

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthCareMagic.com I am Dr.J XXXXXXX Anto Bruno Mascarenhas, and I am here to help you. I have read your question with care and understand that you have woken up on two occasion because of pain and difficulty in moving your legs.
You also have the same problem with your right arm. When you try to move, there is recurrence of pain

The common conditions causing these symptoms are
1. TIA : Transient Ischemic Attacks
2. RIND : Reversible Ischemic Neurological Deficit
3. Stroke in Evolution

All three can't be managed with home remedies
They require that you have to reach ER as quickly as possible

There is a chance that this is just a muscle pull, But I would not like you to take any risk and would request you to go to ER at once. If TIA / RIND / Stroke is ruled out, we can manage the pulled muscle at leisure

Hope you found the answer helpful.

If you need any clarification / have doubts / have additional questions / have follow up questions, then please do not hesitate in asking again. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Best Wishes for Speedy Recovery
