Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
Your brother's MRI Shows retro-listhesis L4-5, L5-S1 with post disc bulge at LS1 (L) side causing secondary canal stenosis. He has two problems- Retro -listhesis + Slipped disc.
If he were my patient , I would start Mild pain killers ,Muscle relaxants, a combination of pregabalin and methycobalmine + Physiotherapy( IFT and Spinal Flexion exercises) for 2 weeks then I would reduce the medicine dose. Also temporarily A Lumbar support will help.
For long term - mainstay would be exercises , precautions like no weight lifting. Surgery may be required if he does not improve with conservative management .
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
