Got MRI Of Lower Back For Pain And It Showed Slip Disc And Bilateral Spondylosis. Suggest?
I just got an mri on my lower back because I hurt it at work. I was thinking it was a slipped disk and on the mri it showed no slipped disk. it did show I have bilateral spodylolysis at the L5-S1 level with minor anterolisthesis and mild foraminal effacement bilaterally at the L3-4 and L4-5 level. im still in a lot of pain and don't know what else to do L&I wants to close my claim now

Your MRI spine findings can explain your symptoms of low back pain, and pain radiating to legs.
Initial treatment consists of bed rest, physiotherapy and medications.
Medications likely to be helpful for you would include pregabalin or gabapentin.
Physiotherapy measures that could help you are IFT/ultrasound/traction, etc.
If these do not help, epidural injections can be given.
In about 10% of cases, surgery may be required.

It seems you had wear and tear in your spine, which can be treated with pain killers and physiotherapy. you can also try spinal injections.
Last option will be surgery to stabilize the spine and relieve the pressure off the nerves.

Bilateral spondylosis is already diagnosed. No need of any further investigation.
You need to consult your orthopaedician for proper clinical examination. Depending on clinical findings, symptoms and MRI changes either operative or physiotherapy can be decided. However it needs prior expert opinion of your doctor.
