Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to healthcaremagic,
I have seen the picture you uploaded, it looks like you are suffering from an oral ulcer. Do not worry about it. It will go away on its own in a couple of days.
There are many causes for oral ulcers, common being viral infections, vitamin deficiencies, bad oral hygiene, sharp teeth, ill fitting dentures, drug reactions.
Many times it is very difficult to pin point the exact cause of these ulcers.
Most are self limiting and do not require any investigations or treatment.
For the pain you can use gels with local anaesthetic. These have to be applied 20 minutes before eating food. Also keep gargling with chlorhexidene mouth wash 3 times a day for a few days.
If the ulcers are very recurrent in the future then you have to see a physician to rule out drug reaction and vitamin deficiencies.
Feel free to follow up,
Regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi (MS ENT)
