Suggest Treatment For Severe Sciatic Pain

Further advises on what you can use
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM,
I read carefully your question and understand your concern.
If I was your caring doctor I would give these recommendations to add to the ones you are actually using:
-- Continue with NSAIDs regularly for 2-4 weeks, because this way you get not only the effect against pain but that against the inflammation of the nerve as well.
-- If only them do not help, you can take at the same time a combination of Paracetamol+ codeine which does not interact with the NSAIDs and adds to the effect of them, but use only if the pain has not subsided with only NSAIDs.
-- Muscle relaxants have been shown to be very helpful. I use thiocolchicoside with my patients. You will need a prescription in order to take it at the pharmacy. Your doctor can advice you on the dose as well.
-- Physical therapy and exercise is very helpful, but not in the acute phase.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.
Take care.
