Question: My husband is experiencing severe stomach pain aNd diarrhea. No fever, it started about 7 last night but got better after he first had diarrhea. It tapperred off but came back about midnight. He eat a fish sandwich in the airport around 5:30 pm.

In my opinion he has developed food poisioning for symptoms mentioned by you.

I will advise him to get his stool culture, stool examination and complete haemogram by wgich ot can be confirmed. Meanwhile give him antibiotic like ofloxacin and ornidazole for 5 days. Give him adequate fluid and electral powder to prevent fluid or electrolyte deficiency. You can get these medicines by prescription from your doctor

He is having bleeding when he feels he has to go to the bathroom. Doesn't food poisoning always cause vomiting ?
