Question: I had a stroke this past Monday and I am taking Lipitor, novasc and asperin. I now have a tooth ache that is killing me, and I believe is raising my blood pressure. My question is: can I take anything like motrin for the tooth ahce pain with out disrupting my stroke medications. I am 69 years old. Thank you.

In case if you have a recent history of stroke and now having severe toothache, for this Ibuprofen can be taken to relieve toothache along with other medications that you are taking..

But in case of severe toothache taking only painkillers is not going to give permanent resolution and you need to consult a Dentist and get evaluated...

Tooth needs to be treated for permanent resolution by either Root Canal Treatment or extraction depending on the condition of the tooth..

As of now take another dose of Ibuprofen by consulting a local Physician as it is a prescription medication..
Also do cool compresses over the cheek and do warm saline gargles...
