
Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain Behind The Left Ear While On Amoxicillin

Question: sharp sporatic pain behind left ear occuring on the neck only in the evening.this has been happening for two evenings. has been treated for chest congestion a week ago. Listless and tired in the AM. has been using AMOX-CLAV 500MG TABS TWICE DAILY.Also used METHYLPREDNISOLONE 4MG DOSPAK 21's . She has Alzheimers. When evening occurs also starts coughing. checked by MD two nights ago also chest x-ray.
Vitals, blood pressure good, lungs clear. this new pain came out nowhere. ER MD said said coughing and being tired will pass in four to five days. I'm open to any suggestions. thank you XXXXXXX Liga

The pain behind the ear does not appear to be related to the chest infection that she had. It should pass off soon but if persists, you may have to consult an ENT specialist or a neurologist to rule out nerve pain.
Yes, cough and listlessness should also pass soon. It could be allergic in nature and you may try a tablet of montair lc daily if cough persists.
Give her healthy diet and she should take rest. Should be all right soon.
