Brief Answer:
different possible treatment options

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Shingles involving the eye can sometimes lead to scarring in the eye itself which can be associated with complications.
This does not occur in everyone but it is a possibility that you would need to be aware of.

The use of the valtrex should help to reduce the risk of complications occurring in and around the eye.

Cool compress and a lubricant to the eye, can sometimes be used if there is involvement of the eyelid or conjunctiva

If inflammation of some aspects of the eye does occur eg some cases of keratitis (inflammation of the cornea) or uvetis (inflammation of the uvea), then steroid drops to the eye may be needed as well.
These can reduce pain and speed up healing.

Some persons also require topical pain medication directly for the eye.

There are different eye conditions that can occur as a result of the shingles affecting the eye and treatment depends on the exact area of the eye involved.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
