Suggest Treatment For Shooting Pain In Ribs And GI Infection
Question: Hi!
I have been having upper GI discomfort since the holidays - but it includes medium shooting painns on both my right and left sides and sometimes even in teh middle of my abdomin jsut bellow the rib cage. Seemingly all along the bottom quarter of my rib cage is achy. Last night my left side was hurting and tonight it is mt right side - with feeling of pressure and surges of pain. It can feel muscular and then also deep in my body. I have had pain in an area along my diaphragm for years and had it checked. Initially it seemed like it was that and it usually goes away. This time it seems to have spread and is making it so I can not sleep well for several days and is not getting better. I could not get an appointment with my dr until Thursday and this is concerning me. Any ideas of what to look into?? Thanks

Shooting medium pains seems from Entero-Colitis.Gastritis and Bloating from Entero-Colitis gives you Lower quarter rib cage discomfort.
You seem to have it earlier also as submitted from YOU.The severity of this pain and bloating has disturbed your sleep as well lately.
Investigations Suggested-for Your health concerns-
Stick to following plan for your case assessment-
Dear,You seem to have contracted infection with festive fooding and partying.
-Consult Physician to assess your complaints,
-and Surgeon ,to assess any accompanying fissure/ proctitis/ piles-if needed get proctoscopy done.
-Stool-Ova / Cyst study
-UBT (Urea Breath Test)for H.Pylorie detection-to fix GERD cause
-EGD / Colonoscopy may be needed in case your complaints don't resolve with primary treatment plans.
Remedy-
Medicines-
Antibiotics with triple drug plan -with Lansoprazole+Amoxycillin+Clarithromycin Tab Metronidazole x 7 -14 days period.(For GERD)
If no relief-try for quadruple drug plan-adding Bismuth Tab as 4 th drug (you do need to get a prescription from your local physician as these are prescription drugs).
Avoid alcohol for 2 weeks till drugs are on(if you take at all).
Limit to Bland Veg / non spicy/ non fried diets with low volumes x 3-6 weeks.
Cap Sporlac 1 x 2 times / day x 4-weeks
Tab Bentyl-for Colicky pains from enterocolitis x 5 days
Regular Yoghurt diet supplements x 4 weeks.
Plenty of fluids.
Butter Milk x 2 times a day
Regular revaluation of treatments over weekly basis from your doctor.
Hope this would help you to recoup till you plan further treatment with your doctors.
