Brief Answer:
Cervical spondylosis, Frozen shoulder early stages

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic/

Thanks for the query.

I hope you can answer a few questions for me to be in a better position to help you.

Do you have pain at the back of the neck that radiates to the left shoulder ?

Do you have any tingling or numbness over the left upper limb ?

Do you experience stiffness of your left shoulder and decreased range of motion as compared to your right shoulder ?

Do you have pain on turning to the sides ?

From the history provided by you, it is possible that you you could be having cervical spondylosis which is quite common for your age. This pain starts at the back of the neck and radiates to the shoulder and arm. It is caused due to pinching of the nerve in the degenerated spine.

Regarding, lung function, could you kindly give more information and upload any reports in possible.

Lung cancer usually presents with chronic cough, blood stained sputum, weight loss, fatigue, loss of appetite.

It is possible that stress could be getting the better of you which tends to make certain psychosomatic symptoms like upper back pain appear. This is usually due to muscle spasm or tightening of the muscles causing pain and restriction of mobility.

You can apply hot water bottle to the painful region for pain relief. Take a pain killer and muscle relaxant combination like Tablet Diclofenac with Thiocolchicoside which will help relieve the pain due to muscle spasm. Avoid lifting weights on the back and bending forward or turning to the sides much often. You can also use pain killer and muscle relaxant gel of the same medicine combination for local application to the painful site.

Adopt healthy posture and follow ergonomics while working. Keep well hydrated. Eat healthy. Avoid junk food, smoking and alcohol. Exercise by brisk walking daily for 45 minutes. Perform deep breathing exercises and Yoga for stress relief.

You could get a Chest X-ray after consulting with your Doctor and a thorough physical examination. An Orthopaedician will help find out bony causes like those in your spine.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Thanking you.
