Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Decadron
Question: Decadron - patient has a glioblastoma. Has been prescribed a steroid to combat inflammation and swelling during chemo and radiation. His behavior becomes disoriented and incontinent. Urinates in odd places. Wasn't doing this before we added the decadron. Need to determine the side affects of this drug.
Brief Answer:
Gliobastoma
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking.
Some of the decadron side effects are nausea, vomiting, dizziness, trouble sleeping, anxiety or depression.
However, in my opinion those symptoms are not related to decadron's side effects but to the disease regression.. At this outset, I'd suggest you to go for a recheck Brain MRI and consultation with the oncologist.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Hope this helps you.
