Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Depo-Provera
Question: I got my first and last depo shot in XXXXXXX and then decided to get off of it but since going off of the depo shot, I've been experiencing a very light brown discharge and I'm not sure what it is. Although I have been getting my period every month regularly, the light brown discharge doesn't seem to go away.
Brief Answer:
Any odor? Can it wet the underwear?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.
This is a recognized side effect of Depo-Provera and this should eventually stop. It does stop in others soon after stopping and take longer in some. You seem to be one of those who would have to wait considerably before things resolve fully.
As long as the volume is small, unable to soil underwear and non-offensive, I will encourage you to stay calm and look forward with great optimism as this would soon resolve spontaneously. There is no need for any further medical intervention.
I Hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with more questions on this if need be.
Kind regards
