Brief Answer:
Side effect of metformin

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query
I think I will be able to help you.

I think you should know that JAnumet contains a medicine for diabetes called metformin. This is known to cause gi side effects like constipation, abdominal pain and sometimes even diarrhea.

I would suggest that you wait a few days. Sometimes, the body gets used to the medicine slowly. Alternatively, if the problem is too much, you need to meet your doctor again and change the medicine.

Unfortunately, you have not mentioned the active sugars and the reports on which the medicine was changed and so I cannot suggest an alternative. But since you need prescription for these medicines, you will need to meet your diabetician again.

I hope the information helps.
