Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcare magic!
Thanks for writing.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Prozac is an anti depressant. Used to treat depression and anxiety disorders.

You feel that it makes you leathrgic and weak and thatif it is possible yo stop it?

Firstly, I think you are weak and lethargic due to depression itself and not due to medicine. Probably the dose of it is very low and need to be raised to 20-40mg to bring some good results.

Secondly, if you really feel that the medicine made you worse and these symptoms have started after prozac , then it can be stopped.
If ever any of my patients have similar or any other complaint with prozac, then I just stop it. It dosent pose any major problem usually.

Thirdly, you should discuss this with your doctor and he would put you on a better anti depressant. There si no need to feel that all medicines are bad...there are many good molecules.

Wish you good luck.
Have a speedy recovery!

I was not depressed when he put me on Prozac last month..He said I had ADD and put me on by Vyvanse 30m. I have taken this medication before and didn't experience depression. I was concerned with the effects of stopping Prozac. Thank you for your help.

Brief Answer:
no major problems on stopping. meet your doctor to give u something 4 ADD

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for replying back.

From your reply it is clear that the depression like state started after prozac.

So, in such a case it is right to stop it. No need to worry. For ADD, your doctor can put you on something else which he might feel better.

Its a very low dose of prozac that you are on..usually the starting dose is itself 20mg for a person of 40kg and above. So, I dont think that stopping it will cause any problem to you.

I hope the reply helps you with your concern.
Good luck.
