Question: I have a skin rash with varying appearances, usually all kinds of small breakouts always with a dimple in the middle. The appearances vary: small dots with black or white dot somewhere in the surface; sometimes white skinny lines, always with white or black dot somewhere on the lines; sometimes just small black or white lines always with the small dot somewhere. the area on which the dots appear often cause a soft skin raise around them, and also some cause bruising in the area. A somewhat odd thing seems to be happening, in that the skin area around the dots seems to raised in like a field of swollen skin around them them and often large areas of bruising. Another off thing is that my veins seem to be involved; they are blue and swelling in in my hands and arms and probably elsewhere, and there are ALWAYS one or more of those dots in the swollen areas. And on my hands the knuckles seem to be victims of the white dots, with the sides of the knuckles with swelling and becoming crippleds -- and always a white dot(s) somewhere in the swelling. One doctor prescribed prednisone (sp?), a second doctor prescribed ketoconazole cream 2 percent, neither of which were helpful. The dots/ whatever seem to be spreading slowly (thank god). And there is not ANY pus involved. Can you give me a clue as to what this might be and how to treat it?
