Suggest Treatment For Slurry Speech And Mispronunciation Of Words

About my problem:
I hope you will understand what my problem is because it is very difficult to explain through text & I have tried my best. Please read my question & explain what could be the reason & help me with the treatment information too.
(1) While speaking, I feel like my tongue has become dry, it has become thick that I am unable to pronounce words properly. I dont know how to explain this. All of a sudden while speaking I have experienced that the words which I was able to pronounce clearly few minutes back, I wont be able to pronounce in the same way (When the tongue becomes dry & thick. I feel like tongue is not rolling properly while spelling /pronouncing words). This happens all of a sudden. Its happening almost everyday. Sometimes for few hours & some times the whole day.
(2) Also, my lips /cheecks tend to push with which, I feel difficulty to pronounce words properly. For example, if you are saying letter 'E', your lips /cheeks spread horizontally & when you are saying letter 'O', your lips will be round & cheeks support that.
In my case, when I am talking, always my cheeks & lips tend to push in round direction (Like when you say letter 'O', your lips & cheeks will move accordingly). With which I end up pronouncing words incorrectly & I dont feel comfortable to talk.
These things are affecting my professional life. Please help me doctor.
consult a neurologist and speech therapist for detailed examination
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I have gone through your questions and understand your concerns.
Abnormality to pronounce words correctly intermittently may be due to many causes.
First possibility may be anxiety related if it occurs in a stressful condition.
Second possibility may be some dystonia involving tongue and pharynx leading to inappropriate pronunciation.
In myasthenia gravis there is change in voice but that is continuous after exertion , fluctuating and husky voice involving whole word and sentences after speaking for some time.
You need to visit a neurologist who can examine you in detail and thus advice appropriate investigations and treatment.
You may have to consult a speech therapist also if investigations are normal.
Are you taking any medications for any other problem?
Any headache, vomiting, seizures, loss of consciousness, visual impairment, hearing loss?
Do get back with above details.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
