Question: I started taking Crestor a month ago and I recently developed a small and painful bump on the
tip of my tongue, I popped it today and a one inch hair was the cause. Is this weird or common
and what could be other causes ps, I also smoke and take synthroid as well. XXXXXXX

As far as the swelling in the tip of the tongue is concerned, I have two possibilities. it can be because of the allergic reaction secondary to the crestor. The other possible cause can be a chronic irritation by the teeth resulting in irritational fibroma.
Regarding the hair like structure, you are describing, it looks strange. But the hair like structure can be because of the elongated papilla or hairy leukoplakia.
These are the possible causes and diagnosis based on your description of the lesion.
