Suggest Treatment For Small Blisters On The Scalp
Question: hi, my son is 17 years old and is having small blisters in his head. they have puss and induce pain. i have attached photographs of his head and prescription from dermatologist. he us taking the prescribed medicines from last 6 days but there is very less improvement. please advice.

I have reviewed the prescription as well as the photographs though the pictures of the scalp are not very clear.
According to your complaints he seems to be having folliculitis which is usually due to bacterial infection of the hair follicles.
If I was his treating doctor I would recommend him to take capsule doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 2 weeks along with tablet containing combination of serratiopeptidase and diclofenac twice daily for 3 days. This medications are prescribed drugs.
Folliculitis of the scalp is usually chronic in nature and that's why the antibiotic need to be continued for 2-3 weeks.
The betadine AD shampoo and mupinase ointment can be continued till the lesions resolve though you can stop ciplox and combiflam tablets.

I have reviewed the newly uploaded pictures as well and it is looking like folliculitis decalvans which is a chronic type of folliculitis requiring medicines for a long duration.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend your son to take capsule codox 100 mg twice daily after meals along with tablet Rcin 600 mg once daily empty stomach for 2 weeks.
For pain and inflammation I would recommend him to take tablet lyser D twice daily for 3-5 days depending on the pain.
Besides this he can continue mupinase ointment on the affected areas twice daily till the lesions resolve.
